"How to use various stages (X-axis, horizontal-plane Z-axis, angle, rotation) when installed upside down. Compared to the load capacity specified in the catalog (for horizontal placement), how much will the load capacity be reduced?
The specifications for all products are determined on the assumption that they are placed horizontally.
Since the load applied to the stage guide rails changes, the load resistance when installed upside down cannot be clearly defined.
The following is a rough estimate.
◆ Products that cannot be installed upside down:
Horizontal-plane Z-axis stage (lever type) ... B33 series
Rotary stage (running-in mounting type) ... B43 series
Angle stages
◆ Products that can be used when the load center is directly below the center of the top surface of the stage:
30% or less of the horizontal placement load rating
※ If the load extends beyond the overhang position, the load resistance cannot be estimated, and use is not recommended.
Various X-axis stages
Horizontal-plane Z-axis stage (wedge type)
◆ Products for which load resistance is difficult to estimate if the point of load application changes significantly, even though they can be used when the load center is directly below the center of the top surface of the stage:
Various angle stages"
